The plant with the scientific name Astragalus sp has more than 900 species in Iran, some of which are thorny and the rest are herbaceous and mostly fodder, and nearly 400 of them are unique to Iran. Goon has one-year, two-year and perennial species and it grows in many cover forms in a wide area of ​​mountain pastures and plains of Iran. Goons have given a special effect to the mountain pastures of Iran with the arrangement of combed leaves and also the structure of beautiful and fragrant flowers in different colors such as white, blue, pink, purple, yellow and red. A very high species diversity, a very high density of goon and also the good nectar produced by goon flowers have made the goon plant the most important nectar-producing plant in the mountainous and steppe areas of Iran, which has a very significant contribution to Iran's honey production.
